Coldec developed a new decorative interior system setting the trend to a slightly textured multicolour finish based on exciting colour schemes. For the development of Rolplast a special binding emulsion and a new range of colourflakes were created. As the name already suggests Rolplast is designed to be applied by roller.
Colourflakes are selected as the decorative basis for Rolplast. In comparison to other coloured materials like quartz and stones, light-weighted colourflakes are not tinted only on the surface but to the core. A light scratch will therefore not result in any colour difference. Besides, colourflakes have an open structure and absorb the binding emulsion very well, which improves the flexibility of Rolplast. The use of colourflakes makes Rolplast very decorative, durable and colourfast.
The innovative binding emulsion is responsible for the excellent adhesion to almost all surfaces and the high mechanical- and water-resistance of the product. The scratch-resistance of Rolplast is very good and Rolplast can easily be cleaned with normal detergents.
The easiness of application makes Rolplast extremely suitable for use by the do-it-yourselfer but also by the professional painter. Because of the decorative and physical properties of Rolplast it can be very well applied in representative rooms.
Tests in different areas have proven that the fire retardancy of Rolplast is more than excellent. The German 'Bauinstitut' in Berlin has qualified Rolplast as an A2-class fire retardant product, according to DIN nr. 4102. In this respect Rolplast can be used in escape routes and public buildings according to the recently updated European directives.
